I received my Nokia CA-75u this morning. using the 3.5mm into my Captivate, it gives feedback to the TV & the picture is scrambled.

I tried a Nokia headset this morning as well, feedback through the speakers, no mic function.

to uset the headset do I need to turn OFF the tV out function?

thanks!

Rob

If you own a Captivate or Vibrant this 3.5MM to RCA cable is what you are looking for.

I purchased this one directly from RND Power Solutions and it works well.
Watch out for other sellers on amazon I purchased 3 different versions before I got the right one/

Some sellers are selling a 3.5MM to 3 RCA but for some reason the video doesn't work.

You just need an audio-video cable with 1 jack at the end and 3 rca connectors at the other end. I had one at home but when I tried to use it it did not work.. I think it's the same problem as you had so.. I started to think the my galaxy s is broken at the tv-out... but I bougth a new cable with 1,25 euro and with this cable it works the same.
I have attached a picture with the calble I had problems. It seams that the cable that I just bougth .. I just lost.. also. But the cables look the same.. except that the good one hast he jack in a L form. But the conector are the same .... so I don't know why one is working and the other is not.

And the cable that work for me looks like the one in the above post. Exact the same just that it cost less.

I see no lag when swiping the screen but I can tell you that the picture is not 100%(maybe because I got used with hdmi output). But even so.. the picture is not 100% clear.. I would give it a 50% mark. You can not use it to read .. so if you plan to use this tvout for presentations and stuf.. then buy the original one.. maybe that one has better quality. However if you just want to see how it work and just to own it.. than buy the cheap one.

I have been testing it on my tvtuner. It looks like poor quality was because of the tv tuner. I have just tested the cheap cable on my 32 inch LCD tv and the picture is greate. So buy the cheap one. Go to a local electronic shop and ask for a video audio cable with a jack and 3 rca connectors.

That 3.5mm to 3 RCA will not pass HD 720P signals to a TV. The most it will do is 480i
