Default lost all my contacts

For some reason, I have lost all my contacts, as they aren't showing up on my phone. I have been trying to get them from facebook onto my phone contacts, and now, I don't have any contacts with phone numbers in my phone. It is like starting all over again. What do I do to fix this, as I am frustrated right now, and they are completly gone. Do I have to manually add them all over again, and hope that their profiles from facebook show up in my phone? If anyone knows how to fix this, I would be so grateful. Thank you in advance for your help.

Open contacts> Menu> More> Display options> Select contacts to display...

Your options here are Phone, SIM, Google and other user added options like Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp etc.

I did manage to get all my contacts back but I did a hard rest to do it, and now everything works just fine. They are all there, and synced with facebook as well, which I had tried to do but couldn't. I figured that once I did the rest to factory, it got it out of the funk it was in, and now my phone works absolutely just great. I am so thankful for all the help I have received. Thanks so much, as I am enjoying my phone immensely.

Indeed, you can try to recover from google account(if you have). Anyway, if you have no other backup, Android data recvoery tool is your best choice. I ever used a recovery tool for android to recover contacts from Android, you can use trial version to scan your phone so as to check whether lost contacts are there!

Default You can try to use Gmail or recovery tool

You can use Gmail to sync contacts back, if you have backup. If you don't have backup, you need to use data recovery software such as Tenorshare Android Data Recovery to recover contacts from internal memory. More: how to recover contacts from samsung phone.

if you happen to have an export on your memorycard, or if you had one which was deleted you can always try a tool such as undelete which is able to recover deleted data of a memorycard, othewise, these smartphones these days synchronize with so many other things that you should have at least at some locations a valid backup....

I just lost all contacts. I tried the backups but as soon as restore was completed, it would lose contacts again. I disconnected after recover but still no contacts.
Out of desperation, as I have all my passwords etc on it (yes, I know) but I trusted the iTunes backup system. I looked on the net and found a recovery company called Samsung Data Recovery. I tested it and there it all was.
All contacts are recovery and everything else is available. It saves it in a file which you open.I hope this helps you all.

Actually, many Samsung Galaxy users have no idea on how to get their contacts back if they were deleted. Luckily, I got the way to recover contacts from Samsung Galaxy in one click. I wish you can get your contacts back soon.

I've tried it, and it only took me a few steps to complete the recovery.

As for me, I used Data Recovery for Android, it is capable of recovering messages, contacts, photos and video from an Android phone or tablet. Due to the ease-to-use interface, it's ideal for everyone, like single users or professionals, even concerned parents who want to protect their kids from negative information. Scan, preview and recover. Simple clicks bring you what you want, this is be your best choice if you need to restore your lost message and contacts:
