Default How do I add numbers to my Voicemail dialer?

I want to add a pause and then my voicemail code to check my messages. I can't get in to the voicemail settings to add the numbers. Voicemail calling is in the #1 speed dial spot by default and is set up to dial my cell number to check my messages. On ever other phone I have owned I could get in to the phone number part and add a pause and then my code to check my messages.

Has anyone ever done this (or know what I am talking about)

Thanks,

When I go to Menu/settings/call settings there is no Voicemail folder(or anything that says voicemail)

Have you done this on your phone?

Ya I (and everybody?) has the same problem. It does not allow you to add anything where the voicemail number is listed. What I did was make a new voicemail number, plus comma and my code, in contacts and programmed it for #1 speed-dial. Only problem the other voicemail number then is redundant and appears in the pulldown notification tab, but I just ignore it and clear the listing, then go to keypad and speed-dial one.

I know with my carrier the voicemail number is set and I can't edit. I just add my code in when it asks as I can't even edit the number after I hang up (I don't get that many calls). Imperm has the best option because then you can just long hold another number.

What launcher are you using? I'm using LauncherPro and you can put a contact in the dock or on the desktop so after getting your notification you could just press the direct call icon (with the password). I think with ADWlauncher EX I think it has notification icon built in so you could disable your default notifications in the bar. There are alternatives but they are work arounds.

Well I am glad to see I am not the only one that couldn't get it to work. I thought about doing the same thing you mentioned, make another contact and put it in speed dial 1.

Thanks for the response. I am kind of surprised that you can't edit the voice mail # in this phone, I have been able to do it with every phone I have ever had.
