Default Android jelly bean

Will it be worth updating the Android firmware to jelly bean? I'm running ressurection remix pro just now. By far the best custom from yet. I did use the SIII from for a while but it has nothing on ressi.

Anyways just wandering about jelly bean

Thanks

Haven't been on XDA for a while but from what I understand the JellyBean ROM available for the S2 is a work in progress with most features not working atm. It could be some time before important features like radio (phone) and others are working so we can use JB as a daily driver.

I wasn't hugely impressed with RR, I didn't like the inverted apps like the contacts and messaging apps and found the chef had added too much crap to the ROM for my tastes (nothing I couldn't uninstall with Titanium mind). I was running Slim ICS for a long time on my S2 but am trying Spike_M's Pure AOKP atm and loving it so far!!

EDIT: Extremely unlikely Samsung will release JellyBean for the S2, in fact more like it most definatley isn't going to happen. Custom ROM is only way we'll get JB on our S2's.

Yup I stand corrected but at the time of writing the above post it was still unlikely...

Samsung have just confirmed* the S3 will get Jelly Bean in October, the S2 is now also confirmed* to be getting Jelly Bean but Samsung have not given any timeframe instead just saying "very soon"...

EDIT: *The official confirmation of the S2 getting Jelly Bean from Samsung only came on 11th September.

My T-Mobile guy doesn't know if JB will ever come to the Hercules.
I'm running CM10.1, 4.2.2 (Unofficial Jelly Bean), and love it. I will never go back to ICS.
