Default HELP!!! S2 keeps rebooting - no time to recover data

I followed the software upgrade from the menu. Downloaded software update from Samsung. Phone rebooted said it had installed. Rebooted again, came on, after about 5-10 seconds reboots again and follows this pattern endlessley!!!????

I have lots of pictures stored on the internal memory and do not want to lose them

I tried the vol+, on and home key to boot into recovery, thought I would be able to connect usb and recover them but it wont recognise the phone.

I am stuck.... Upon reboot once it comes on, sometimes I can manage to view the pictures before it reboots, so they are still there....

I just need them, then I dont care if I wipe and lose all apps music etc.. The pictures are so important....

Can anyone help as I cannot find any solutions on the net?

Thanks

Two points of reference here, first try removing your SD card.
I have read about many who have suffered with the same issue after an update and removing the SD card had worked for many of those.
Try it, if it works then I'd suggest saving the data from your SD card into your PC and then reformatting the card in your phone...

Menu> Settings> Storage> Unmount SD card> Format SD card.

Failing the above then do a factory data reset, this will wipe the data stored the phone including contacts, SMS, applications etc etc.
It should not format the phone internal storage ie internal SD card but I cannot guarantee this because I have not done so myself]!

Hope something here helps and I hope this is a valuable lesson that phones should be backed up regularly just like PC's, kind of ironic really that devices we store valuable data on like pics etc, people don't backup regularly like they would a PC!!

Please do not double post, I have removed your other thread]!

I have tried it with and without the SD Card.
