In simple terms yes, create a folder either on the internal or external SD card then copy and paste music to it. Do the same for you movies, make sure you safely disconnect the phone and once disconnected the phone will do a Media scan and should find your media.
If you have any other queries, just ask!

Do bear in mind as mentioned above if you have an SD card of your own installed your PC will recognize two SD cards, one is your external and the other is the phones inbuilt internal.

Well it's internal but not internal system memory, it's basically a 16GB SD card but built into the handset and it's not odd because this phone offers the 16GB built in storage. Other Android phones don't have inbuilt storage so that's why it doesn't come with an external SD card.
Also until you install another SD card you won't be able to move your apps 2 SD.

Hi
Install Kies sotware from Samsung site
You can import a itus library straight from your PC or add MP3 files
