Transferring Music Files ... please, Please, PLEASE Help!
Firstly, I LOVE my Samsung Galaxy S2 ... it'll be even better when my new Alu-lined Proporta case gets delivered to protect this beautiful wee object of desire, but transferring music files is driving me up the wall!!!
Okay. A wee overview. A 'standard' Samsung Galaxy S2 with 16gb of Memory onboard and a 'generic' 32gb MicroSD card.
I have a shedload of music files - principally in MP3 and .flac format that I want on my phone. This is where the problems start.
I have tried almost every possible connotation of getting files onto the phone:
1) Using the (painfully slow!) Kies software connected directly from PC to the phone. It takes hours and hours to attempt to transfer the selected files (11gb) over to the external (Micro SD) memory of the phones and stops after a couple of hours with a message "This file already exists". Then only allows me to cancel the transfer.
2) Using a card reader to transfer the files directly onto my Micro SD card. This stores all music untagged under the <unknown> list of Music tracks on the Galaxy S2. Not really ideal. However, when I attempt to play the files I get the message "Sorry, the player does not support this type of audio file."
3) Using Kies Air to transfer tracks. So far the most successful way in that it lists tracks, albums, artists under music and, more importantly, it plays them. However, I attempted to transfer the files to the Micro SD card using Kies, but it also seems to populate the onboard memory at the same time, so when I've reached 10.8gb of music, Kies says it's out of memory and I can't download anymore.
I really want to fill up the Micro SD card's memory before I start eating into the onboard memory. Please help!!!
