Default Transfer video from phone to pc

How do I transfer a video to pc? Can transfer photos but can't work out how to transfer video. I am not using Kies as it causes my pc to crash. Any advice.

If using a PC with Windows, use Windows explorer to navigate to the phone storage location that the video is stored.
If it's video you have taken it'll either be on the sdcard (internal memory) or sdcard/external_sd (external memory) and under DCIM/Camera.

sdcard/DCIM/Camera

sdcard/external_SD/DCIM/Camera

Once you have found the video, right click to copy and paste to where you want on your PC.

Thanks. I've managed to find the photos and videos. Problem is that the two short video clips come out as MP4 - I can get the sound but no images. Why is that?

Why would video clips come out in an MP4 format anyway? Is MP4 a video format as well.

Nearly sorted. Downloaded VCL and can view mp4 video clips from my old phone ok. but when I view clips from Galaxy S2, the sound is good. It seems to start the video but doesn't show it all and it gets pixilated. Any advice?

Very nearly sorted - advice from android forum - downloaded CCP, I can now view my videos in Windows Media Classic and Windows Media Player but not in VCL for some reason.

Two minor probs though - when I film in portrait the video ends up on it's side and the sound is very erratic.

Any more advice? Thanks.

don't shoot in portret then

you can rotate the video when viewing it like THIS

if you want to permanently rotate the video you need VIRTUALDUB

Think it's finally sorted thanks. Understand I have to film in landscape mode, i.e. camera on it's side. Everything, including sound works perfectly well now.

Just use USB cable to connect your computer and phone, and then select the storage mode, and then find your video.

Oh, I am sorry to hear that. If you can transfer your picture to computer but can not transfer video to computer, you can try to backup your phone videos to computer. Here is the way on backup Android phone data to computer.
Step 1. Run the program and connect your Android to the computer
Step 2. Select and start backup Android file to computer
Step 3. Recover Android data from your Android

To transfer video from Samsung Galaxy S2, we just need connect it to computer via USB Cable, then use a Samsung mobile manager tool to help us transfer video to computer directly.
