20. Export/Import (Backup) Contacts

1 ) Open Contacts and tap the Menu button...

2 ) Tap on More...

3 ) Tap on Import/Export...

4 ) Tap on Export to SD card...

5 ) Tap OK to confirm...

Now, there's a "00001.vcf" file in your \sdcard, all your contacts are in there.

If you're unable to use Kies, then by using method #17 (1st post on this How, What & Where), copy/move it to your PC or anywhere you want to save it.

In the event of an upgrade Firmware, copy it back into your device's \sdcard, follow the above and choose Import from SD card on step #4.

21. Add your own words to Samsung Keyboard's XT9 dictionary

1 ) In [Settings], tap on [Locale and text]...

2 ) Then [Samsung keypad]...

3 ) Scroll down and check the [XT9], then tap on [XT9 advanced settings]...

4 ) Scroll down, right to the bottom, and tap on [XT9 my words]...

5 ) At the bottom, tap on [Add]...

And 6 ) Type in your word and confirm by [Done]...

Do you know how to add window live contact to galaxy s??

In the galaxy S manual, it shows i can add my window live account to my mobile.

But i only found, Facebook, Twitter, Google, and Exchange Account. I don't see Window Live.

Try CT Live Sync. You can find it in Android Market.

Thanks for replying Arvind... I installed the SDK and downloaded the packages and was successful in capturing the screenshots... That was a great article!

Also, do you have an idea on how to capture screen videos from the phone? I mean to say : I want to record what I do on the phone and convert that into a mpg/avi or any video file...
